Will Surya Paloh and PKS succeed in attracting the Golkar Party to win Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election?

Not only is it like a giant and sturdy fortress, the Forward Indonesia Coalition led by the PDI-P can also be likened to the might of a huge, formidable wave, which its political opponents have struggled to overcome and topple over.

Surya Paloh, who is a representative of Nasdem and who is also part of the Forward Indonesia Coalition, seems to have found a new gap to break through the fortress and split this big wave, in order to expedite the passage of Nasdem political soldiers, the Democratic Party and PKS to win the 2024 presidential candidate Anies Baswedan.

The gap in that giant and sturdy fortress is the Golkar Party, the old political home of Surya Paloh (SP) where he lived for decades and he has memorized all the doors, windows and alleys.

Because of that, right on Wednesday Pon (1/2/2023), SP surprisingly visited Golkar in the midst of chaos over the reshuffle of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet.

SP’s high-level political maneuvers certainly surprised many people,

SP or Nasdem, which was initially predicted to only form a coalition with the Democratic Party and PKS, actually still has the opportunity to split the Forward Indonesia Coalition through the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB) wing with Golkar as its main target!

With the approach of a limited reunion of Golkar cadre alumni, SP seems able to make Golkar and PAN change their imagination, from the possibility of supporting the presidential candidate that will be carried by the PDIP, namely Ganjar Pranowo, to the possibility of supporting the presidential candidate Anies Baswedan.

Moreover, if SP persuaded Airlangga Hartarto to make him as Anies Baswedan’s running mate for vice president, and if the lobby failed, then the persuasion was increased by pairing Airlangga-Anies pair, then 99% of Airlangga and Golkar would clap and immediately line up following SP’s political scenario.

This is politics anything can happen!

Not long after that, SP political soldiers from the PKS line also came to visit Golkar on Tuesday (7/2/2023). Of course PKS came to Golkar to strengthen the SP’s lobbies that had previously lobbied Golkar.
