BONSERNEWS.com – As a citizen who trusts the government, it is very sad to see officials who are only busy showing off their wealth on social media.
Instead of carrying out their duties properly, they even argue that they are defending the people with a handful of assets. They should have a big responsibility to the people because their duties should prioritize the interests of the people rather than personal interests.
Integrity and honesty are the main principles that must be upheld by officials in carrying out their duties.
However, with the act of showing off wealth on social media, this can raise public doubts and distrust of government officials.

In addition, the act of showing off wealth can also open up opportunities for corrupt practices to occur within a government institution.
Officials who flaunt their wealth on social media can become easy targets for those who wish to use their position for personal gain.
In this case, officials who lack integrity can take advantage of this opportunity to enrich themselves or certain groups in a way that is not in accordance with the oath of office and the laws that apply in society.
Therefore, the act of showing off wealth on social media should not be carried out by officials.
They must understand that the position and position they hold is a mandate from the community, so it must be carried out with full responsibility and honesty.
Such actions will only harm themselves, the institutions they represent, and the communities they serve.
Officials must remember that as citizens, the people also have an important role in observing the actions of unscrupulous officials.
